Over the past 30 years Theatretrain has put young peoples’ performances first, pioneered by the lifelong achievements of our Artistic Director and Founder, Kevin Dowsett, who has taught a generation of actors including Kelly Brook and Catherine Tate and Denise Gough.
Our Performing Arts Sessions In Portsmouth
Our theatre sessions take place at Mayfield School, Portsmouth in their professional performing arts studios. Our training is fun, engaging and enjoyed by children of all ages.
Main Company (Ages 6-18)
Develop Lifelong Theatrical & Performance Skills The Fun Way
Sessions are divided into the following age groups: 6-9-year-olds, 9-12-year-olds and 13-18-year-olds. They become rehearsals for performances later in the year.

Junior Ensemble: TT Minis (Ages 4-5)
Fun Foundation Theatre Training For Little Ones
In this 90-minute session, your young performer will participate in all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of storytelling, imagination and stagecraft.

Advanced Dance (Ages 10-18)
Next Level Professional Dance Training
For those young performers looking to take their dance training to the next level! 90 minutes of professional dance training in Musical Theatre Jazz, Commercial, Contemporary, Conditioning, Technique and more. There are also exciting dance performance opportunities including DANCE LIVE!
