World Children’s Ensemble at The Royal Albert Hall
Sunday 26th September 2010
From the Pussycat Dolls Jai Ho to I'll be There for You by the Rembrants and Coldplay's Viva La Vida to the Killers and U2 the story is powered by a succession of driving and pulsating music, 500 singers and a band of 22 top musicians.
We follow the story of all peoples, a tribe who grow up, marry, live in the world and face the challenges of the world. What happens when the ruler dies and the children have to remake the new order? Using an exciting mix of world music and well known numbers 1200 young people take to the stage and take us on an emotional journey of a lifetime. Theatretrain have been creating large scale theatre for 18 years. They have played the Royal Albert Hall many times but never before with children from 50 different worldwide countries from all the continents of the planet – all gathered under the same roof together. This is the first performance by the World Children’s Theatre Ensemble.
