How it works
Our Main Company performing arts sessions run weekly during term time and last three hours.. Most families choose our monthly subscription, which spreads the cost evenly across the year at £68.33 per month by Direct Debit — no need to calculate term lengths or remember payment dates.
Alternatively, you can pay a termly fee in full (by card or BACS) at the start of each term. Termly fees vary between £260 and £280, *depending on the number of weeks in the term.
Siblings receive a 50% discount on tuition — so the second child pays just £34.20 per month or half the termly fee.
Theatretrain Minis Performing Arts Classes (3–5 year olds)

Our Theatretrain Minis performing arts sessions run weekly during term time and last 90 minutes. Most families choose our monthly subscription, which spreads the cost evenly across the year at £34.20 per month by Direct Debit — no need to calculate term lengths or remember payment dates.

What’s included?
In every session, students develop their skills in acting, singing and dance in an active, supportive environment. Our classes are designed to build confidence, creativity, communication and performance skills while helping young people become strong ensemble performers.
Our training is led by experienced performing arts professionals and follows Theatretrain’s established programme, created by playwright and theatre practitioner Kevin Dowsett.
We concentrate on practical performance skills, teamwork and confidence, giving young people the opportunity to grow both on stage and in everyday life.
Are there any additional costs?
Registration Fee
When you register your child at Theatretrain Maldon, there is a one-off registration fee of £15.
Uniform
A Theatretrain T-shirt is our standard uniform and can be purchased separately. Students can wear their own plain black bottoms and suitable dance shoes to complete the Theatretrain uniform.
Shows
Performance opportunities are an important part of the Theatretrain experience. Throughout the year, students may take part in local shows and other performance opportunities, giving them the chance to put their acting, singing and dance skills into practice.
Some performances may involve additional costs, such as costumes, tickets, travel or other production-related expenses. Any additional costs will always be communicated to families in advance, so you will know what is involved before committing.

You can find full price details at the top of this page, but in short, our Main Company sessions cost £68.33 per month (£260 -£280 per term) and our Theatretrain Minis sessions cost £34.20 per month (£130 -£140 per term). Payment is made monthly by Direct Debit or termly at the start of each term.
Do I have to pay upfront?
When you register with Theatretrain Maldon you’ll pay a one-off registration fee of £15.
Session costs are paid ahead of each term, or can be paid monthly by Direct Debit.
Are holidays and absences deducted from the cost?
No. You’ll need to pay the total amount including paying for any sessions missed.
