Special Measures Success

24 Theatretrain centres took part across three performances of ‘Special Measures’ recently.

A show set in a school deemed inadequate by Ofsted and put under Special Measures. A new head teacher (Rowland Ridgeway was performed by Matthew Travers from Theatretrain Aylesbury) is appointed and he removes the performing arts subjects.

This show proves the value of the performing arts subjects as they return at the end of the show to save the school’s science competition.

All 3 shows were a huge success.

It seems parents agree

‘We just wanted to put in writing how incredible we thought “Special Measures” was up at Sadler’s Wells. What a show! How the kids remembered all the words, moves and stage directions; let alone you guys pulling it together (no doubt a little hair, at the same time!!) was amazing. Congratulations to all involved, a special, special occasion that had most of the Hammond family in tears!

The boys have loved every minute of Theatretrain this year, it’s normally Tuesday when the “countdown” begins to Saturday morning! The passion, energy and personability you guys bring it to, makes it. A family environment where our children our learning new skills and growing in confidence…………………do you do a three year membership?!’
