Come and join us at Theatretrain Cambridge South for  dance, drama and singing classes for 6-18 year olds. Whether you’re a West End wannabe or a shy wallflower looking to make friends and gain confidence this is the place for you. Our ethos is as a ‘performance company’ and ALL students take part in ALL productions whatever their level of ability. Our Approach

For over two decades we’ve championed an exhilarating approach to theatre school education
in the theatrical arts for young people aged 6-18.

We teach our children how to Dance, Act and Sing in inspiring performing arts classes at
Trumpington Meadows

Our Stage school brings out the best in students, builds confidence, and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.

We accept students from areas around Cambridge including Ely, Newmarket, Soham, Haverhill, Royston, St. Neots.
No auditions are necessary as we teach them everything they need to know!

Our Team

At Theatretrain Cambridge South you will experience professional classes and professional performances and work with a great team!!
All our Teachers and staff are DBS checked and are either working in the industry and/or a qualified teacher.

Bianca Stanford & George Hopkins – Centre Directors

George & Bianca are extremely excited to have taking over both Theatretrain Cambridge North and South in the Autumn term of 2020. They both met at University, where they developed their pre-existing passion Theatre and the Performing Arts. They share a love for performance and have worked both on and off stage in Theatre for Education, short films and various Small Scale theatre productions. Bianca has been a part of the Theatretrain family from a young age, having gone through all three main school age groups. In recent years George has been a regular friendly face at Theatretrain, helping chaperone shows, including 2019’s ‘Move!’ at the Royal Albert Hall, and more recently supported the weekly running of Theatretrain classes. We are so passionate about helping children to express their love for the arts and improving their life skills.

Sara Honey - Dance Teacher

We are delighted that Sara has just joined us from Sept 2018! Sara graduated in 2009 from Laine Theatre Arts with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre. Since graduating Sara has worked as a Lead Vocalist and Dancer with Fred Olsen Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line and recently completing her 4th year as a Lead Vocalist with Princess Cruises. She has experience in TV and Modelling, and Sara is proud to have had the opportunity to play one of the lead role’s in the original UK Tour cast of 'Back to Broadway.’ She also has 9 years of teaching experience.

Katie Attle - Singing Teacher

Katie, our singing teacher, has been with us for over a year now. She runs a business, teaching private tuition in singing and piano and is involved in teaching singing and performance in many local schools. She has piano, clarinet and singing (grade 8) and has a level 4 teaching diploma in the performing arts. Katie is a bright and bubbly person who loves teaching and we are so happy she is part of the Theatretrain family.

Bianca Stanford - Drama Teacher

Bianca was a student at Theatretrain since about the age of 8! She remained as our TA while she completed her Drama degree at Bedford, then went on to teach for us and has since gained a Masters too! Bianca's main love is teaching but she also performs and devises.

Jo Davidson - Centre Manager

We are delighted to have Jo as our centre manager. She has been a part of the team for over 2 years now, and we don’t know what we would do without her. She lives in Trumpington and both of her daughters attend class. She is such a kind, friendly and approachable person who supports everyone at the centre.

Charlotte Williams - Minis Teacher

Charlotte again was a student at the centre from the age of about 8 years and remained in touch, chaperoning at show and helping out in class. She has since graduated, obtaining a BA in Early Childhood Education, to add to her performing skills, and she has since obtained her PGCE at Homerton College, and now works at Fawcett Primary School.

Harriet - Minis Assistant

I graduated from performing arts school with a diploma in dance, and went on to feature in many music videos dancing along side known and upcoming artists. I currently work for Colours of Dance and was lucky enough to join Theatre Train as maternity cover through lockdown, which I absolutely loved and am so happy to be staying on assisting the Theatretrain Minis!
