About Us

Drama Classes, Dance Classes and Singing Classes in Chelmsford.
Classes run Saturdays during school term time

Come and join us at Theatretrain Chelmsford for  dance, drama and singing classes for 6-18 year olds. Whether you’re a West End wannabe or a shy wallflower looking to make friends and gain confidence this is the place for you. Our ethos is as a ‘performance company’ and ALL students take part in ALL productions whatever their level of ability. We believe this not only gives our students skills and confidence in performance but also respect and appreciation for each other AND the responsibility of working for the team not just themselves.
So come along…we’d love to have you on board!

Our Approach

For over two decades we’ve championed an exhilarating approach to theatre school education
in the theatrical arts for young people aged 6-18.

We teach our children how to Dance, Act and Sing in performing arts classes at Great Baddow High School.

Our Stage school brings out the best in students, builds confidence and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.

We accept students from areas around Chelmsford and surrounding areas.

No auditions are necessary as we teach our students everything they need to know!

Some of the shows she has been involved in include; Sweeney Todd (Johanna), Urinetown (Pennywise), Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal), Matchgirls (Annie Besant), and Pirates of Penzance (Edith). Outside Theatretrain, Jane enjoys taking part in musical theatre productions with local groups, most recently performing in ‘Half a Sixpence,’ as shop girl, ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’ as Tzeitel, and in ‘Oliver,’ as Nancy. Her favourite thing about teaching at Theatretrain, is seeing the children grow in confidence and when they preform a song so well it makes her smile for the rest of the day!
