About Us

Drama Classes, Dance Classes and Singing Classes in Southampton.
Classes run Saturdays during school term time

Come and join us at Theatretrain Southampton for  dance, drama and singing classes for 6-18 year olds. Whether you’re a West End wannabe or a shy wallflower looking to make friends and gain confidence this is the place for you. Our ethos is as a ‘performance company’ and ALL students take part in ALL productions whatever their level of ability. We believe this not only gives our students skills and confidence in performance but also respect and appreciation for each other AND the responsibility of working for the team not just themselves.
So come along…we’d love to have you on board!

Our Approach

For over two decades we’ve championed an exhilarating approach to theatre school education
in the theatrical arts for young people aged 6-18.

We teach our children how to Dance, Act and Sing in performing arts classes at
The Richard Taunton Sixth Form College, with our unique approach and fantastic teachers and workshop practitioners inspiring dedication and creativity.

Our Stage school brings out the best in students, builds confidence, and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.

In Southampton, we also love to give our students the opportunity to travel and perform internationally building friendships with other like-minded children across the globe.  We have established a great partnership with a fantastic performing arts school in Malta called ‘Masquerade’ and look forward to more Theatre exchanges with them in the future as well as other locations.

We accept students from areas around Southampton including Romsey, Eastleigh, The New Forest  and surrounding areas.
No auditions are necessary we are just looking for super enthusiastic, dedicated students to join our family!

Our Team

I’d like to introduce you to our dedicated base team of teachers. All of our teachers have been hired because of their energy, enthusiasm and ability to inspire our students. We’re here to support and encourage our students to unleash their creativity and build their confidence in solo and ensemble performances.  We also invite guest practitioners throughout the year, many having west end and television experience so the students can learn a variety of skill sets to compliment their experience at Theatretrain.
