Come and join us at Theatretrain Sutton for dance, drama and singing classes for 6-18 year olds. Whether you’re a West End wannabe or a shy wallflower looking to make friends and gain confidence this is the place for you. Our ethos is as a ‘performance company’ and ALL students take part in ALL productions whatever their level of ability. We believe this not only gives our students skills and confidence in performance but also respect and appreciation for each other AND the responsibility of working for the team not just themselves.

TT Main School (6-18yrs)
We have three age groups: 6-9, 9-12 and 13-18 years
Each group gets 3 x 1 hour classes in Acting, Dancing and Singing
Sessions are £22 per week
We create amazing opportunities for our students to perform on stage in local, regional and world-famous West End venues
All students get to perform every year!
TT Minis (4-5yrs)
Saturdays 10.15am – 11.45am
We run Minis classes for 4-5 year olds from 10.15 am-11.45am every term time Saturday during term time.
Sessions are £14 for 1.5 hours
The Minis class is an introduction to Theatretrain for pupils who are too young to join the main centre. Children are introduced to dancing, acting and singing during the class and we aim to keep the focus on the work and to encourage concentration, generosity and creativity whilst having fun and developing confidence.

Barrow Hedges Primary School
Our Stage school brings out the best in students, builds confidence, and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.
We accept students from areas around Sutton, Surrey, including Carshalton, Carshalton Beeches, Cheam, Worcester Park, Hackbridge, Wallington, Beddington, Mitcham, Morden, Belmont, Banstead, Coulsdon, Purley and surrounding areas.
No auditions are necessary as we teach them everything they need to know!
Theatretrain Sutton is run by Carol Soper a graduate of the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
At Theatretrain Sutton you will experience professional classes and professional performances and work with a great team.
All our Teachers are DBS checked and are either fully qualified teachers or working in the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them. We also have fully qualified first aiders on the team.
Cas - Centre Director/Drama Teacher
Cas is a graduate of the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and has worked as a drama teacher for more than 20 years. As well as successfully working in many London secondary schools, Cas has also taught in private, independent schools and has previously also worked in extra-curricular performing arts schools. Cas is passionate about the arts, and specifically drama, and all the life skills that come from being a part of it. She has a whole encyclopaedia of drama games and activities up her sleeve and loves to surprise her students each week with something different.
Ben - Singing Teacher
Ben recently graduated from the Actor-Musicianship course at the Guildford School of Acting with a First Class Honours degree and has always been passionate about all things singing and performance. Having already supported well-established musical theatre performers such as Ruthie Henshall and Ramin Karimloo in concerts and events across the country, he has been able to gather lots of knowledge about how the voice works and how to best use it to get the most out of performance. Coupled with his experience of teaching acting for several years before training, Ben has got stuck right in with the wonderful students at Theatretrain Sutton and is helping them unlock their incredible potential! In his spare time, Ben can often be found playing his saxophone and piano, or writing musicals with one of his best friends. One of those musicals is due to be performed for the first time next year - exciting!
Holly - Dance Teacher
Holly is a Rose Bruford Drama School graduate with a BA (Hons) in European Theatre Arts and has a strong passion for dance and drama. She is a Theatretrain veteran having attended Kings Lynn TT for over 9 years including the TT Academy for 3. She has performed in a range of shows including 20@O2 as well as helping to create choir moves for a number of different London TT shows. Holly is an aspiring actress and dancer who works across stage, TV, film and VO but loves to teach in her spare time. As a dancer she is trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial, Jazz, Modern, Physical Theatre and Tap and can’t wait to share these skills at Theatretrain Sutton.
Kenny - Centre Manager
Kenny is our lovely Centre Manager and is the person responsible for our front of house duties and ensuring the health and safety of our students and teachers whilst on site. Kenny is very much part of the Theatretrain Sutton family as both his children attend the school and his wife is Cas, the Centre Director.
Amber - 6-9 Assistant
Amber is our lovely 6-9s assistant and recently graduated in performing arts at Nescot College. She is now currently studying childcare and has recently obtained her extended First Aid certificate. Amber stays with the 6-9s throughout the day and assists the teachers in drama, singing and acting to ensure that all the children are fully involved in the classes and understand what is required of them. Amber is a lovely, outgoing young woman who is passionate about performing and who particularly excels at dance.
Eliza - Minis Teacher
Eliza is an alumni of Theatretrain Sutton, having attended since she was 9 years old. Eliza is currently studying Drama and Applied Theatre in Education at the world renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is passionate about working with early years children. Eliza has performed with Theatretrain at some large venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, O2 and Theatre Royal Drury Lane, as well as many local venues, including the turning on of the Christmas lights at The St Nicholas Shopping Centre. Eliza epitomises the spirit of Theatretrain and she can't wait to work with all your little minis.
Tonia - Minis Assistant
Tonia is a caring, calm, compassionate, creative, and organised person with over 3 years of experience working with children under 6. She enjoys planning and delivering activities for children and helping them to get the most out of their learning. She also has many years of studying and working as a theatre actress and can engage and communicate with the children while keeping them interested. She particularly loves to teach drama and dance, while helping the helping the children’s imaginations develop. Tonia is excited to be working with the Theatretrain Minis and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.
Maria - Cover Singing Teacher
Maria is our lovely cover singing teacher. Since graduating with a BMUS Honours Music from the University of Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, in 2007, Maria has taught singing to students of all ages. She uses her enthusiasm and huge passion for music to inspire and motivate. She specialises in popular music and rock, and has a keen interest in contemporary performance. Maria is also very busy working as professional singer.
Maskara - Cover Dance Teacher
Maskara is our cover teacher and has previously been Theatretrain Sutton's dance teacher. Maskara is an excellent all-rounder and took a break from working permanently with Theatretrain to further her studies in dance. She is currently in her final year of her MA in dance.
Zara Singing Teacher
Zara is currently in her third year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of music and dance studying Classical Singing. Whilst Zara is training to pursue a career in opera, she grew up in an environment just like our students as a dancer and singer. She has predominantly had training in classical, musical theatre and pop genres and is passionate to share her insights of singing in different styles on to the students here at theatre train. She has performed in a variety of performances through solo and choral work and is continuing to do so alongside her degree. Other than performing Zara has a passion for music and health and is a true believer that singing can help one's development. She has found this to be the case through presenting singing workshopping with a variety of groups.
