Our Approach

For over two decades we’ve championed an exhilarating approach to theatre school education
in the theatrical arts for young people aged 6-18.

We teach our children how to Dance, Act and Sing in performing arts classes at
STANLEY PARK HIGH SCHOOL.

Our Stage school brings out the best in students, builds confidence, and gives aspiring young actors opportunities of a lifetime via our large scale London shows and our smaller local shows each year.

We accept students from areas around Sutton, Surrey, including Carshalton, Carshalton Beeches, Cheam, Worcester Park, Hackbridge, Wallington, Beddington, Mitcham, Morden, Belmont, Banstead, Coulsdon, Purley and surrounding areas.

No auditions are necessary as we teach them everything they need to know!

Our Team

Theatretrain Sutton is run by Carol Soper a graduate of the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

At Theatretrain Sutton you will experience professional classes and professional performances and work with a great team.
All our Teachers are DBS checked and are either fully qualified teachers or working in the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them. We also have fully qualified first aiders on the team.

Cas - Centre Director/Drama Teacher

Cas is a graduate of the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and has worked as a drama teacher for more than 20 years. As well as successfully working in many London secondary schools, Cas has also taught in private, independent schools and has previously also worked in extra-curricular performing arts schools. Cas is passionate about the arts, and specifically drama, and all the life skills that come from being a part of it. She has a whole encyclopaedia of drama games and activities up her sleeve and loves to surprise her students each week with something different.

Ben - Singing Teacher

Ben recently graduated from the Actor-Musicianship course at the Guildford School of Acting with a First Class Honours degree and has always been passionate about all things singing and performance. Having already supported well-established musical theatre performers such as Ruthie Henshall and Ramin Karimloo in concerts and events across the country, he has been able to gather lots of knowledge about how the voice works and how to best use it to get the most out of performance. Coupled with his experience of teaching acting for several years before training, Ben has got stuck right in with the wonderful students at Theatretrain Sutton and is helping them unlock their incredible potential! In his spare time, Ben can often be found playing his saxophone and piano, or writing musicals with one of his best friends. One of those musicals is due to be performed for the first time next year - exciting!

Nathaniel - Dance Teacher

Nathaniel recently graduated from the prestigious Italia Conti of performing arts, where he achieved his Diploma in performing arts. Nathaniel has also completed a TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF). Nathaniel is a confident aspiring performer who also has a passion for teaching dance and acting to children of varying ages. He has taught at summer schools and a variety of workshops, and other establishments. He is professionally trained in the dance genres: Ballet, Commercial, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre, Street and Latin. Nathaniel has a vast knowledge of different dance styles and likes to pass on his knowledge in a fun, friendly and engaging environment.

Kenny - Centre Manager

Kenny is our lovely Centre Manager and is the person responsible for our front of house duties and ensuring the health and safety of our students and teachers whilst on site. Kenny is very much part of the Theatretrain Sutton family as both his children attend the school and his wife is Cas, the Centre Director.
